Mage: You should have as much Int & Wis as possible. End is a good add-on also (for wearing robes). If you don't have at least 20 Int & Wis, I suggest you reroll it (the character).
Warrior: Warrior need Str & End mostly. Agi is a good add-on to. Str is to hit the monsters harder and End to wear better armor. If you don't have at least 20 Str & End, I suggest you reroll it (the character)
Paladin: Paladins are a little bit harder then other character cause you have more then only 2 stats to get up when you level up. To be a good paladin you need to have around 20 Str, 20 End & 20 Wis when beggining. Since this is almost impossible, try to have as much Str & Endwhen starting up so at least you'll hit a little harder.
BattleMage: Battle mages are a little bit like Paladins but they don't need the 3 stats to be really high. Int is the most important, then comes the End and finally the Str. When starting 20 Int is a must, the End (for higher HP and AC (better armor)) and then the strenght. End & Str should be around 15 each.
Archer: This is depending on wich kind of Archer you wan't to make. If you wish a pure archer you need Str and Agi. 20 of each when beggining at least. If you wan't to do a normal Archer, then you also need to have high End also. When starting up you would need something like 20 End & Agi and over 15 Str. (Archer do good Thief)
Cleric: Cleric are mages based on earth & healing spells. When starting you need to have 20 End & 20 Wis at least. People, especially low levels, ask often for the help of the Clerics.
Thief: Thieves must have at least 20 Agi when starting and around 15 Wis & Int. Most thiefs are Archer to but it's not uncommon to see a Mage/Cleric with the rob skill.
